ABOUT ME
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut für Atmosphäre und Klima at the ETH in Zürich, working on Atmospheric Predictability and extreme weather events with Prof. Daniela Domeisen.
I graduated my Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Feb. 2018. My research focused on midlatitude storm tracks and drivers of storm track seasonal cycle, using a combination of observational data analysis and idealized climate models.
I completed my M.Sc. at the Weizmann Institute in 2010, working with Prof. Hezi Gildor on the formation of coherent eddies in the Gulf of Aqaba/Eilat. The study involved modeling of the gulf using MITgcm and analysis of HF-radar observations, as well as regional wind data.
During my M.Sc., I have also worked in the group of Prof. Ilan Koren, where I studied smoke in the Amazon to demonstrate two opposing effects of aerosols on clouds.
I have a BSc in Geophysics, with focus on Planetary Sciences, from Tel Aviv University (graduated in 2007).
Women in Science:
I am involved in several activities related to advancing women in science.
At ETH, I participated in Fix the Leaky Pipeline workshop and coaching group.
A few years ago, together with a group of students from the Chemistry Department, we established the first Women’s Forum of graduate students in the Weizmann Institute. As part of the forum leadership, we organize meetings with inspiring researchers and graduate students, and various workshops for improving personal skills and work-life balance.
